Sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures, My wife told me she wanted some specific type of chocolate candy for mothers day, OK, so of I go find the candy store, of course its not where she told me it would be, So their I sat in the vette trying to thing of where I might find said store........ Then a bell goes of, I Have a nav unit !!! so I think for $55000 thousand bucks this thing should be able to help me out. I push the little speaker button and ask for the candy store. The nice voice responds and provides the search screen.. Who knew it had one of those... so I type in the name of the place and low and behold, there it is. So I ask for directions and the map screen pops up with the route lay-ed out. This is really cool, I get to the store, obtain the correct candy in time and the wife is happy. What else will a vette do, Is it like one of those transformers???? I wonder what else the nice voice will do if I ASK.....
I have had several Nav's including Garmin, and one in a 08 Benz. The Nav on the Vette is truly outstanding if and only if you read the manual. It has many great options, such as day/night mode, split screen, input telephone # for directions.
Talon90 has a outstanding sticky on the unit. Take a moment and check it out. It is well worth the time.

The nav in the corvette is very sophisticated and does a great job once you learn how to use it. The problem is that it is not very user friendly but once you learn how it is great. Read the sticky.

As someone who loves the Corvette nav and put the Garmin in the glove box after seeing what the nav could do on the trip home from the NCM, I think you are giving it too much credit when you say it is "not very user friendly". I would say it is user hostile. It is about as far as I can imagine from being simple to use without reading the directions. But once you see what it can do and how easy it actually is to use once you learn how, it is a marvel.

Well stated.
That is the biggest drawback of the unit is it is not at all user friendly. At first I did not like the unit. Then one day I decided to read the manual and play with it for a while. I was amazed at what it does and now I'm very happy.
