Default NPP Open VS Bullets

I have an 08 with NPP and I think I want something louder...I have searched youtube etc... there are lots of videos of bullets etc...

but what I need is someone's experience with going from the NPP to bullets setup and the difference in tone and volume.

thanks for your help

Ryan

I went from Bullets to NPP (06 Vette to 08 Vette). To me NPP is very mild and very disappointing compared to the bullets. The only upside to the NPP system is that you can turn it off (using the mild-to-wild system) when you want a quieter cruise. If NPP didn't come on my 08 Pace Car, I would not have ordered it and would have replaced the stock exhaust again with the Bullets.

As far as tone, the Bullets give a great low pitched tone that is very aggresive sounding. I've not heard a better sounding exhaust for the Vette.

Default Bullets suck

I had Bullets and they really sound great outside but if you travel out of town the drone will drive you nuts. If yours is only buzzed around town you might like them. I pulled mine after a month and went with Corsa Extremes. Loud but livable.

Should have just pulled your skirt up over your ears... If you drive a stick you will have very little problem with drone.

Why not go with the fusions? They are just a tad quieter than the bullets when open, and you can close the valves on the highway. Its almost like bullets and NPP mixed into one.

Very true and great point. If you need attention get a dog and tie a bone around your neck.

FUSIONS are THE way to go if you already have NPP. Go louder AND retain your dual mode exhaust functionality. I love the ability to quiet down my cars exhaust note when i just wanna have a relaxing cruise or when pulling into my neighboorhood street late at night.

I had Bullets on three of my Corvettes, including the 05 that I traded for my 08 with NPP. As David stated, there really is no comparison if you want awesome sound. The Bullets will send chills up your spine - and even after three years with them, I felt it every time I ran through the gears.

I do like the flexibility of the NPP, and I applaud GM for coming out with them. But they aren't Bullets!
