Mine were red too. Repainted them black. Matches the car better. I think color matching your paint looks good. I think you'd have to go the powder coating route though....
The G2 system can custom make any color you want with the factory paint code. If and when I do mine this is the route I'm going. I have Monterey Red and the bright red would just not be right in my eyes.
I used VHT primer and VHT fire red metallic under Monterey Red touchup paint and then VHT clearcoat. Still need to do the backs and then I'll post a thread with pics.
Any suggestions on what color to paint my brake callipers? I have a sunset orange coupe. It seems like everyone paints them red.
I did mine in DSOM from the local body shop, unless you track the car this paint will hold up well. They mixed me up a pint and as long as you clean the calipers very well and do 2 coats, they should be fine. I considered black but opted for the DSOM as the red clashes with the rest of the car IMO. I liked the body color paint. The powder coated ones look very very nice and if money is no object would probably go that route. I just liked the DIY route and am satisfied with the way they turned out.

Curious what the body shop charged you? I know wheels are usually more pricy in paint than powder, but I have no clue what a body shop would charge to paint them. Curious as to how they compare.

I charge 250 for a set of 4 and brackets.
I did them myself, body shop didnt charge me for the paint as I know the owner from way back when, I am sure your powder coat looks better and the price is reasonable, may consider that in the future as they sure look good. What would the price be on the exchange or is the 250 the exchange price?

I had the same dilema and painted mine LeMans Blue. The contrast is amazing. I had a few oz. of DSOM mixed up and was going to paint the corvette lettering but after doing so, I liked the way I got the lettering to polish up before so I removed the DSOM on the lettering with some thinner and many Q-tips. I will try to get some pictures tomorrow and post or e-mail them.

price is the same either way, exchange just adds the refundable 300 core charge. THere is also a 30 shipping charge, so in reality its 280.
