Congratulations, wearing out the buttons that start and stop the car, and the button that lets you out must make you eligible for some kind of award around here. Maybe the anti-garage queen award.
I've replaced the door button, takes about 2 minutes, take a flat blade small screwdriver nuzzle the outer silver bezel up. It will pop right off, then you'll see the button is just a plug in to the housing. Takes no time at all. Ignition button I haven't done.
the ignition button takes about 15 minutes to replace:
-take the torx screws out of the driver's bottom bolster.
-take bolster out.
-you should then be able to pop the bottom of the cover that houses the ignition out just enough.
-reach behind the ignition switch. The switch is held down by 4 tabs.
-pull them away from the switch gently while pushing the switch in towards the back of the trim piece.
-the switch will eventually push out from behind the cluster trim.
-Unhook the harness.
- install the harness into the replacement switch.
-Push the switch in until you hear it click in place.
-Snap the trim back in place.
-re-install the bolster piece.

Thanks, corvettezman! As much as I'd like to cut to the happy ending, I'm going to follow all of your directions to replace my worn out ignition button.
