After a month and a half of waiting I finally got my CCW's back from cal chome. The rims have a nice shine but you can't tell from the pics below...partly because there was no sun and partly because I am not too swift with a camera.
Thanks guys, the pics are bad but they really look good in the sun.
cthusker- I opted for the "cal chrome clear" from cal chrome... it was $1350.00 including shipping both ways. I really had no choice as I was spending an insane amount of time. money to keep them clean. If you have any other questions about the chrome plating jsut post or shoot me a PM.
They look great and you'll apreciate the easier maintenance.
I had my CCW T10's chrome plated by Cal Chrome as well. I had the entire wheel plated including the barrels. Several people had posted issues with pitting of the chrome over time. I applied several coats of REJEX and have ceramic brake pads and have not had any problems after a year.
CCW will ship your wheels and center caps "ready for plating". Not sure how this is different than their normal full polish, but it's an option.
I asked ccw about the ready for plating option. From what I recall I think the actual rim is cut differently to allow the chrome to adhere. The guys at CCW have first rate customer service-I 'm sure they can explain in better detail then I.
