Now that is cool! B17 will always have a special place my heart since my Dad flew in them and got shot down in them. I must make it down to AZ sometime to fly in that one. Is the going rate stilll around $300 for a ride?

They do the same thing here in Michigan. They fly one out of Willow Run airport. Same price. I would love to take a ride on it. But that bird is way older than I am...

Darn inflation! I do remember them going to Boise once. I thought about taking my Dad up in it but at 92 he is not doing that well. But at 92 if you are alive I guess you are doing great.

phileaglesfan,

Bad news. The Liberty Belle was just here on Monday, May 12th. I think a 25 minute ride was $430. Think they'll be back next year. It's a beauty in the air.

Cool! I'll probably head up there next year. I would take my Dad but unfortunately he wouldn't remember it the next day. He remembers flying it in 1942 though.

Great picture. My dad flew 34 missions in the B17 "White Lightening" as Bombardier/Navigator so that old ship is special to me too!
