Power Top Issues
Yesterday in the late afternoon on a rare hot day in WNY, my wife decided to put the convertible top down on the '06. It had worked fine earlier in the day, but this time it only went partially down, stopping at the point where the deck lid is supposed to disengage and raise up. It didn't and the top seemed to be stuck at that point. We checked the trunk and there were no obstructions. I tried it several times and still no luck. We were going to take it to the dealer this AM, and we tried it again before we left to go to the dealer it worked just fine. Has anybody had a similar problem with the power top?

There are micro switches that relay the position of the top while in transit. I had a micro switch go bad once and the tonneau cover came down too soon and hit the rear window. I know that's not your issue but it could be something in the system. It sounds more like your tonneau didn't unlatch. It may be sticking. Hope it all works out at the dealer.
