Last month I tried to use the ZWINBACK code and they said it was good for only 1 year and I couldn't re-apply. I then asked to cancel the service and transferred my call to a different department. I was able to negotiate $77 with the lady that was about to cancel my service. I told her I wasn't willing to pay full price for a vehicle I drive on weekends. I told her that I was willing to pay my original $77 price. I believe she figured getting $77 from me is better that $0.

I just renewed last month including traffic for $85. I used a "virtual" credit card number. It a number that is different from the account number on your credit card but is tied into it for billing. Its only valid for 30 days after first use, and can only be used by the original seller. Any time I purchase something per phone call or over the internet, I use a new "virtual" number.

Suffered with it for three month then

What really got me was all the commercials on the channels I listened to. I include commercials for other XM channels BTW, which were endless.

After two years at $77.00 I couldn't do any better than 9.99 mo or $120 for the year. Made about 6 different calls and finally caved in. This may be the last year for me.
