Wow, there are some really COOL cars out there. Glad to see that Corvette owners appreciate other makes and models. I will take a ride in the Ford GT, Lotus, and those classic muscle cars please!

I have lotsa fun with both of these...they are both two seaters....one boasts 400 HP and 3.73 gears, the other 300 HP and 4.30 gears
But of course anytime I want REAL sportscar performance I jump in one of the Vettes

I have a 88 5.0 Mustang GT with 221,000 miles it is a 5 spd. with 3.55 rear end. I'm the original owner and ordered it from the factory just like the Corvette.
This car is in tip top shape. It's a very durable car and I hope my 2005 Corvette can last 20 years in this condition.
Only problem is the ride is a buck board ride very stiff smaller than Corvette but easier to see out and maneuver. Corvette is much more comfortable, sophisticated and newer of course & feels like a Cadillac in comparison.
Mustang is much more easier to work on and maintain but dangerous when it rains.
But I feel a little more comfortable as a daily driver leaving 5.0 parked in public even though people keep asking me if I want to sell it.
The Mustang GT attracts less attention than Corvette.

Besides the recently-acquired 2009 C6 convertible, my other cars are a 1985 TVR Tasmin convertible, a 1996 Miata M-Edition and my daily driver is a 2004 Mazdaspeed Miata. I've always had at least one 2-seat convertible (my first car was a 1960 MGA in college), so the Vette is kind of a natural progression. I just wish I lived somewhere with less winter than Michigan!!

Is that hood an accessory option for the V-6 Camaro?

No, this is an SS w/ LS3 which has been out since May 6th officially. (some got it sooner) We have had ours on order and was born on 4/15. Also, nothing special about the hood just has a stripe optition. The opening in the nose is for the SS Model.

They pushed it through fast this time.

Drifting
I had an 04 S2000 honda before the Vette and it was a great car but I love the Vette! The Honda was so loud on the highway, the wife and I had to yell to talk, no storage for a trip, and wearing it like a glove gets uncomfortable after awhile. It is nimble at low speeds compared to the Vette and the power top blows away my targa top. I have had a 79 280 nissan Z car, 86 MR2, 90 Mazda Miata, and the 04 Honda, among others. The Vette beats em all.

Safety Car
Yes, it's a 94 rear end. It's got quite a few mods to it - both appearance and performance. Recaro seats, custom (seriously) H&R springs, Tokiko adjustable shocks, HKS sway bars and strut bars, Enkei 3-piece wheels, modified turbo, cockpit boost controller, Toyota competition (rally) ECU, Supra injectors, prototype ARP exhaust manifold studs (my car was an ARP guinea pig,) etc., etc.
It's really a great, fun car that I have had no real problems with - stock OR modified - for the entire 220k miles and 17 years of its life. I wouldn't hesitate to jump in it today and drive cross country again.
