Default Window Tint

Has anyone tinted just the side windows? I am looking at getting tint done, but not sure if I want to risk the hassle of having issues with the rear window and wonder how tinting just the sides would look. Thanks!

IMO I do not think it would look very good. Just find an experienced/recommended tinter and do it all.

I just had my car done last week with 20% and they did an excellent job on the back window as well.

I just had mine done about a month ago and went 15%, both sides and rear. In Wisconsin, or a least in my area, they frown more on the sides being tinted rather than the rear. My next door neighbor is a police officer in the city that I live in and has spent many day's in my driveway crying he doesn't have a Vette, but explained to me that if the car is tastfully done, meaning that if the person has put some money into their car and is mostly an upstanding citizen, the chances are the police will not bother you? In fact, I took him out for a ride on his day off and was the first time I had her up over 150 mph!!! He remebered to bring his badge just in case.

I'm not sure how just the sides would look but I had my sides and rear done by LA Tint in Sterling, Va. He did an excellent job. Very professional shop.

We do window tinting. If you want feel free to stop up and we can talk about diff. options. You could always do like a 30% all the way around. Anything darker than 20 is getting dark.

What hassle are you refering too? just get someone that knows how to do the rear in one piece, just the fronts alone would look wierd.
15% rear, 20% sides, the car stays so much cooler, and I love the look JMO.

I have all 3 windows tinted with the rear being dark limo tint which is the darkest. You cannot see through the rear window point blank at anything you have in the hatch area.
The 2 side windows are something like half of that and ever since I did this when driving with the targa top off I cannot see anything in the rearview mirror. It is blank like a shiny mirror window.
