Need Advice
It has been raining for almost 3 weeks here with only an occasional clearing. Not long enough to venture out in the Vette, and to make matters worse the Arkansas River is at 190,000 cfs almost 3 times over small craft warning flows. That keeps the marine Wista J in the dock as well.
I just opened the garage door to check the weather and a huge drop of water fell off the door on the Vette. Photo attached.
I quickly towled off the spot and touched up the spot with McGuires quick detailer. Do you think the Vette suffered any permanent damage?
It definately was rain, likely full of acid and other forms of polution. As soon as I post this I'm going to cover the area with Mcguires wax. Unfortunately I don't have any Zaino.
The marine Wista J
Wista J Vette and stable mates on a better day.

Dude, I think you better go and get that area sanded down, re-primered and painted.

Gonna start a string of problems. I'd trade it in and wash your hands of it.

Bummer. To late to do much now. It is easy to see it is already changing the color from Arctic White to Silver. You just need to be more careful. Maybe the tires can still be saved.

Don't let them blend the paint....make sure they repaint the entire car so it matches perfectly!
And go for a diminished value claim on your insurance!

I'd be more worried about that dealer sticker in the back window etching your glass ---- are they paying you to advertise for them?....

What grit was I supposed to use. I thought XXX grit would be about right. I think it cut down to the fiberglass.
Do you think a claybar will take this out?

Larry, as usual, Buzz is here to help you.
Two things: One, buy a razor blade and remove the Dealer Advertisement. Two, learn to spell definitely. I thought you were

By the way, car and house look nice!

I would sell the car at this point. I am pretty sure that this shows up on carfax so don't expect to get top dollar.
