Default Splash guards

Hey guys, this has probably discussed to death but I tried a search and didn't get very far. I have an 07 black coupe and want to put front and rear splash/mud guards on it. There are a bunch out there; does anyone have experience/preference/opinion on any?

Thanks for your time.

I used Pipedreams splash guards for 2 years which worked just fine. I recently changed to the GM OEM style because I liked the integrated look.

Both worked just fine but Pipedreams splash guards actually protect a little better because of their size. Some OP's have gone with the Z06 style which require a bit of work installing them. Whatever you do I'd install some type splash guard on other wise your vette is going to get nicked up! I really believe they should be STANDARD on all C6's from the factory!

Do a "search" as there are many, many treads with pictures on this subject...

Same here. Pipedreams were great because of their functionality and their stealthiness from a distance. Up close, different perspective.

The GCA splash guards look like stock. Very easy to install and clean up very well after/during a road trip. These should have a GM RPO code to order as an option....

Yeah...

The GCA look like they belong on the car and work great. It was the first "mod" I did when I bought mine.

Agree with all above starting with cthusker. Just to elaborate on his post, he's basically talking about 3 different splash guards. The first is pipedream's, which I've used and they are almost invisible, but not as styled to the car as the GCA which are Z06-styled and contour to fit the fender curves. They're also about double the cost of pipedream's splash guards.

And finally, are the actual, Z06 splash guards that are larger than the downsized, GCA Z06-style guards. AND, as ct explained, you do have to horse it around a bit, cut and clip and stick it on. As a matter of fact, Walt White Coupe had it on and on his new car, rather than do that again, I believe he put on the GCAs. I think they are also a little more expensive than the GCAs, plus the work to make them fit.

Default Pipedreams

I have the Pipedreams on my 07 VR vert.
They install easily and are almost invisible.
Much less expensive than the GM units.

GCA guards are hands down the best IMO.. I don't want to get into a "these are best" war but trust me I have used the others (and liked them when I had them) but there is no comparison. Yes they are $100 but there is a reason (quality, look, & fit). They look stock, just like they came on the car from BG.

100% And they provide good protection. Picture was taken after 5000 miles of service.

ZO6 style for C6. APSISUSA-talk to Jersey. They are the best and pricey too but worth every penny. I got long ones. They look the best. Go to their website and see for yourself.

30 min install if you are blind.

Pipedreams in the front and Z06 on the widebooty in the rear.

I agree the GCA's look more like they belong on the C6 but the Pipedreams are nearly invisible and quite effective.

IMHO you can't go wrong with either one.

APSIS long for the back and short for the front.

But, DO NOT GET PAINTED ONES!

because the guards work so well for me, the bottom of the front are getting pitted and marked up. If these were painted the paint wold be gone and look like crap. I look at the marks and cringe, thinking this cold have been the side of my car, thankfully the APSIS guards work great!

I have the APSIS long on the front as shown here.(img)

And the stock Z06 one's on the rear, again shown here. (img)

Don't go cheep you want to protect the investment in your car. Mine are two years old and look like the day I bought them. Good luck on your choice.
