Default Can someone quickly explain option codes?

I'm new to the search, looking for 06z06, but I wanted some clarification of what 1lz vs 2lz, etc. is. I know that Z51 is a suspension/handling package and that the c6z06 is a totally different animal than a reg. c6. Any quick way to explain?
Angelo

The 1LZ is a base Z06 (still comes with head up display)

2LZ adds Bose, 6 disc (or nav option), memory seat, heated seats, power telescopic steering column, cargo net and shade

Z51 and F55 suspension only on coupe and convertible (except ZR1 gets F55)

I am somewhat new to this as well...corvettegreg your explanation is veryhelpful, but i am still confussed about the Z06's suspension. i know that the coupe, which i think is just a normal c6, not a Z06, has the option for a Z51 suspension, but i dont know what the normal suspension is. However, i am not sure from what you said above what supsension the Z06 comes with and if there is a option for it. can you please clarify, thanks.
Also, is the F55 suspension that comes with the ZR1 a better one than the Z51? just curioius...

Thanks corvettegreg for the info. I will definitely be aware of the options for future reference.

Is there a way of determining if the car is a 1LZ or 2LZ by the VIN Number?

No, there is not. The GM VIS info will show it, as will the sticker inside the glovebox. All Z06s have the HUD. The sixth digit in the VIN is a "2" on all Z06s. It is a "3" on convertibles. The sixth digit denotes the body style.

The fastest way to see if the car is a 2LZ is to look for the heated seat switches...these can be seen in any photo that shows the radio/air conditioning area.
