so no sh*t there i was coming back to Base from CT late at night/early in the morning in my newly acquired C6, when i was about 260 miles into the trip and "making very good time" a a little road critter jumped out and made it all the way to my driver side and thud!!! no more mister critter i pulled over to make sure i didn't do any damage, i couldn't see any so i was back on my way. next day im out in the parking lot showing the new car to First Sargent and the Co when i notice my front right spoiler is missing, little bastard didn't go with out a fight, well this is where Gene at gmpartshouse.com really helped me out i was recommenced by a friend to check with them for the part and i did and ordered it right away got my conformation and thought all was good next day i get an email explaining that the spoilers had changed and my new one would not match. he did this for a $15 order, and all i had to do was tell him i wanted both and it was on the order thanks Gene

A"little critter" is the best kind of road kill, minimal damage... About the spoiler Gene said it had changed color/size? did he explain...I must have missed that one
You're lucky it was a little one...I hit a buzzard with a friend's new Volvo V70 'Vert and it did 400 dollars of damage to the fog light and surrounding area. I was glad I wasn't driving the Vette!

I had to break and swerve to avoid hitting a buzzard on the way back from Maggie Valley Saturday! (I only swerved after making sure nothing was coming)

A few years ago I was driving behind an 80s Ford LTD that hit a buzzard at high speed. The Buzzard struck the Ford at the top of the windshield, causing the windshield to smash and the roof to collapse, unbelievable damage, lucky the two occupants were not injured.
I hit a Christmas tree, right at the end of the base of its trunk, didn't do any damage, I thought, but then I had to change the front tires after 12K miles. Guess I really messed up the front end alignment. $700 bucks to replace the fronts with Michelin PS2 ZP's.
I think the new spoilers (air dams?) don't connect to each other and are three separate pieces now.
I think they were always three pieces since way back in 1997. I'll have to look to be sure but I'm pretty sure my 2005 has three pieces. Two stationary side pieces and a flip up center section.
BTW to the OP, when one of my spoilers was ripped off it took all the mounting points with it. Make sure you look under the front end to see if there isn't more damage than you expected.

Yes...three separate pieces...my point is they don't connect to one another anymore to form a complete air dam like our "from the factory" ones do.
So i got the new front spoilers in yesterday and when to put hem on and at first i was a little perturbed because thy are much shorter then the ones that where on there below are pics of the differences in the old one and the new ones i think the new middle section must be wider if any one has the entire new air dam please let me know
as you can see in one of the pics my center piece has a bit of a crack in it so i don't feel to guilty about swapping it out for a new one if it meets up with the outer 2
I'd get the whole set (2 outer and 1 center piece) of the new style air dam. The shorter outer sections don't look right or may not do their job since there is an open space between the sections now.
Wait, maybe your outer section only cost $15.00 because it was "half" off.....
