Default Wheel Brush

I am trying to include pictures of a detail brush from Target. I have been using one for about two months to clean the inner wheel, especially the tight areas between the wheel and the disc brakes. It is currently $3.14 in the automotive section listed as a detail brush.

I won a brush like that as a door prize this past week. I haven't used it yet except to dust the dash. It worked well for that.

I found a kitchen bottle and glass brush at WM and it works great for the small areas and in-between spots. It is sort of firm but has soft bristles and it was cheap since it didn't have anything to do with detailing cars. Between that and the AutoGeek wheel brush, they take care of the wheels pretty well.

I just lift the car and remove the wheels that way I can give them a good cleaning.

I bought two from auto geed just a few weeks ago and love it. It has cut down my "cleaning" time substantially and reaches places I could never reach w/o taking the wheel off. Great investment. The Target one looks interesting. The Autogeek one is a bit stiffer but definitely does not scratch. I have a mixture of simple green and water in a spray bottle - spray - let it sit while I am cleaning the reast of the car - and then come back on do the wheels.

10" bottle brush from Harbor freight. I think it was $.97.

Me, too; thanks for the tip. I think they look fine. On some wheels I'm not sure I'd want to use a typical bottle brush with stiff nylon bristles. This looks like a good alternative.

I have a buddy with 20" chrome wheels that does the same thing... Lifts the car, then removes/ cleans the fronts and then the rears. Its not a daily driver so he only does this once or twice a year. The inside/ barrels of his wheels are also chrome.

i bought these at target a couple years ago. they're a thin microfiber wand thing, super soft, that gets into the barrel of the wheel next to the brake caliper. they are some sort of duster, but with a little soap and water, these things work great. seems to me they were around $7...

absolutely no joking around... this weekend I'm fixing to pull the wheels and do it again. I do this every two weeks.

EDIT:
the reason why I dont use that brush is because you cant clean it correctly. Yea it gets in there and gets rid of some brake dust and dirt but I bet if you ran your finger over it you'd still get it dirty. Ever since I bought this damn car I've been real **** about keeping it clean. Its worth it though.

Meguires sells a great yellow wheel brush that is round and flexible. Works great.
