Hello folks...I have an '05 that had to have a front bumper replaced last year. I just realized a clip of some sort is missing on that small section holding the bumper to the passenger side fender, right next to the headlamp assy...
Can I do this myself? I assume I would have to take the headlamp out. If so, is it that difficult?
I am also assuming that I access this area through that small plastic hatch at the front end of the wheelwell...??
You guys know your stuff..please let me know if I can do this or should I take it in and pay to have it fixed...
That happend to me when my front end was replaced after an accident. There are two clips on each side and they are different, the shop only installed one clip per side. The official procedure is to remove the bumper and install the clips, a major PITA. My body shop somehow removed the wheel well liners and went in from behind, but I don't think they used the factory clips.
