Default California duster

Safe for use or what - hear people say they use on interior - what about paint - does it really work on dust without scratching surface?

Mine works great. Get a lot of good information in the car care forum as well...http://forums.corvetteforum.com/car-care-discussion-10/

Works great on dust on the exterior paint - the dirtier it gets, the better it works. You can buy small ones for the interior.

I will sometimes use it gently on the outside, but make sure to give it a good shake beforehand so you're not scratching the clear coat with some embedded grain of dust or something. Definitely more safe for the interior; anytime you touch anything to the exterior you run at least some risk of scratching/swirling the clear coat so be careful.

Don't get suckered into the "wood" handled one, the plastic handled one is alot cheaper and the SAME product....unless you plan on usin' it as a weapon.

You can get either the wood or plastic for the same price...and it's nice to have that extra weapon around just in case.

I've used one for years, no ill effects to the paint. Just shake it to let the dust out of it before each use and keep it in its storage bag.

Yes - directions even say 'light' touch. You just sort of let the fibers float along the car - DON'T RUB!

I have used them for the last 19 years or so. I have three, one for each car. Many people think the paint on my 85 Trans Am is repainted, then they are shocked when I tell them it is the original paint. Most people can't be bothered to take minimum care of their cars and no wonder they look like crap. I swear by the california duster.

And one plus about a dirty one, if you have any clear crap on your car (oil, bug guts, tree sap, etc.), some dirt from the car duster will transfer to it - kind of works like an indicator to let you know you've got something on the finish you need to get off.

I use the California duster all the time to get dust/dirt off the car before using quick detailer for quick cleanups between washings.

Walmart seems to have the best price, if you don't mind shopping there.

just used it today on my black dust magnet

as long as common sense prevails (shake it before use ) you should be fine.

Bought mine back when I had my M3... it has gotten better with age. Here in Arizona the dust can be BRUTAL!!

Take a few minutes and boom!! no more dust (except in the tail light recesses. For some reason, the dust there likes to stick like glue!)

Default California Dusters...

I have used the normal sized one for years on the paint. I use the smaller duster for a quick removal of the Brake Dust from the chrome wheels...

I use it daily on my CRM Vette, and my black Infiniti, works great!

Amazing what just a few minutes of "dusting" does to keeps the car looking clean in between washes.

I love mine. I keep one in each car for that car's use only.

When it is new, I lay it on some brown paper and let the excess wax sort of drain out before I use it on the car. They work wonderfully but some people have looked at me in horror when I dust the cars at a show! It works and is a MUST for black cars that only stay dust-free for a few seconds at a time.

I like the little ones too, great for the interior and dash and gauges. A light touch is preferred, just barely skimming the surface. Love my CD! Walmart is a good source for the product at a much better price and I am not ashamed to say I shop there - more people than ever are finding the "joys" of low prices.
