Replacing Ignition Switch Procedure?
Just purchased a DSOM Painted Ignition switch module. The last time I worked on the dash was when I switched out the 2 dash pieces for the GM DSOM Painted ones....but that was 4 years ago and I don't remember removing this lower section. Any Help? Please....

You will have to pull the gauge bezel off. Not hard, and held in by those metal clips that fit into the plastic slots. Here is a thread with picures. You won't have to removed the switch pods to get to the ignition switch. I would lower the steering wheel as low as it goes, and extend it too. I also put a towel over the top of the steering wheel and behind it to protect it from the metal clips:
