Gm matts don't match carpet
I ordered genuine GM accessory Ebony crossflag matts from the local Chevy dealor. Good price $90 plus tax. They aren't close in color to the carpet. They look gray in color.
Anybody have this prblem? Do Loyd's matts match Ebony color?

1. Take them back, make sure you got the right color, try another set.
2. Lloyd's is a hit or miss...you might get ebony...you might get a green tint.
YMMV

We just we through an exhausting few thread on color match, our interior is called ebony and is a solid shade of dark gray. The GM mats I have seen are also a dark gray. A picture would help. The lloyd mats are also called ebony and IMO are a very good match, but because they are a high pile carpet, they have shading. Since color match is a personal opinion, you should just return them if not happy

Here is a set of LLoyds that we sold a customer, ebony and the new JAKE logo, as mentioned it has shading depending on how you brush the carpet

And yes, I know exactly which thread you're referring to because it's the one that caused me to decide never to purchase from you.

I bought new Lloyd's mats for my C6. The minute I saw them I knew they were a bit darker than cashmire. I put them in my car & to my surprise I like them. The best I can describe it is they are between light oak & cashmire. The give just a little contrast to the interior. I am surprised I liked them B/C for me everything has to be perfect.

2. Lloyd's is a hit or miss...you might get ebony...you might get a different shade of black/grey/some other unknown color in the spectrum (just to cover all my bases).

So I'm confused, according to the other thread you did not purchase Lloyds so you statement is based on ????? I have installed 20+ sets and I have seen no variation in the "color spectrum"
And about not purchasing from us, we were the one that stepped up, contacted Lloyds and got the members mats replaced at no charge and they were not even our customer. I don't think you will find any members that have delt with us and have any complaints with our quality and service.

Please don't misquote me...I did not state "color spectrum", I said "color in the spectrum". According to your own statements, the color match by Lloyd's is a "best match", I believe is the term you used? Regardless, my point is the Lloyd's don't match exactly the ebony either. The OP needs to know that so if he does go with Lloyd's he's not disappointed to get a color that doesn't match to his satisfaction.
I don't have to purchase a product to know something about it. There are a lot of people here that have purchased Lloyd's matts and aren't happy with the color match, and plenty that are. It's a personal choice.
I shall not engage you any further on this subject out of respect of you being a supporting vendor.

Just so you know, the genuine GM accessory mats are Lloyd mats.

Yup...discussed ad nauseum in a previous thread. There were some that posted and the color difference was very drastic...while others appeared spot on. I think it just comes down to personal preference. To me...they're mats that I put my feet on and don't really see unless I open the door and stare at them, so I don't think a slight variance is a big deal at all.

I was initially disappointed with my Lloyds ebony trunk mat because it looked different from the factory carpet. I discovered, as Dreams mentioned above, that the difference seems to be in the deep pile of the Lloyds mat- it changes color depending on how you brush the pile or how flattened it has become from luggage. After 3 years/43k miles, mine looks pretty close. Or maybe i just got used to the slight difference.

Maybe you should lighten up a bit, and an apology would also be in order, IMHO!
