If you get a chance pull off your intake and open up throttle blade. Grab a flashlight and take a peak inside of your intake manifold. Most will find a nice oil buildup. A catch can will help keep the oil out of your intake. Its an easy install and you can drian it out every oil change from below if you add a drain tube to the petcock.

Although a catch can is not 100% effective, it will keep oil puddles out of your intake. I usually get 1 oz of oil out of the can in 1500-2000 miles of driving. This oil will eventually coat the piston and valve tops creating carbon, which can cause hot spots and detonation in the combustion chamber.
