Default Emblems?

Was wanting to get input from other owners on their use of additional emblems or badges....

The Corvette, and the C6 in particular, is very understated in it's use of badging, both on the exterior and interior.....I don't see many Vettes that have added additional emblems and wondered if this was just personal preference or an unwritten rule amongst Corvette owners....

I, for the most part, like the lack of emblems on the car.....everybody knows what it is already.....I just installed a new Vettebin and was considering adding a C6 emblem to it like I've seen others do, and it got me thinking about the use of emblems inside and out and what others have done.....

I've even wondered what people thought about using some of the C2 & C3 "StingRay" badges on either the interior or exterior of their C6......crazy?

Post pics if you've done some additions to your car.....

I changed my 2005 aluminum front and rear emblems to 2009 chrome and that's all I will ever do to mine.

Dont do it Just kidding. Some of the interior badges on the bin and stuff are okay IMO. But the addtional stuff on the outside is unneccessary. I like the sleek polished look.

I have been going through a similar dilemma. I want to put a Jake logo somewhere on the car to show my support for Corvette Racing but I'm not so sure I want to slap a sticker on the outside. Might put a small Jake next to the Corvette logo on the dash.

did it on my 2008 too. Changed both front and rear crossflags emblems to 2010 chrome surround style and they look very nice.

The car doesnt need any more emblems.

You can replace the GM chicklets with a Jake chicklet... inexpensive too.

I added the 427 emblems to the Z06. With the coming Grand Sport model.........just helps to distinguish the Z06 a bit

I am not sure of how the C6 emblems are attached but I do know that most people removing emblems from C5s used a piece of monofilament fishing line and a sawing motion to cut through the glued on backing of the emblem. Glue residue can then be removed with 3M adhesive remover or Goo Gone.
I am sure someone else will chime in with exact details. It seems like I read that one or both C6 emblems have a stud in addition to glue.

Correct they do have two studs each. I'm sure they use the stud and hole at the factory to align them. I used a heat gun or hair dryer to remove the old ones.

The best place to buy them is Fred Beans. dwittleinger@fredbeans.com He has the best price on the forum.
