It's not a bad idea to double-check the torque on the wheel nuts after a week or two.

I've never had one work loose, although my friend who owns a tire shop asks his customers to stop back in a week or two to have him check the torque on lug nuts and he has found a few that were either not properly tightened or worked loose.

PS: That's a sweet looking '57.

Done in two steps,,, first 80 ft lbs, star pattern, and repeat with 100 ft lbs, star pattern. Re-check torque a week later.
