I would think the differences would be weight with the extra weight coming from the motors required for the motorized one. A motorized option is something I can do without. Just something else to break and have the dealer repair. Owning a convertible I don't mind putting the top down/up by hand.
Do you think they will have a motorized convertible (like you push a button and the top comes up or down) on the new C6?
I really don't know if there is really any major differences between a top you put up and down with a hand or a motorized one...
That is very true. I would not want to have something extra to fix on an expensive car. I would also assume with a motor it would reduce trunk space (something I find very valuable).
Dear GM: Please add my vote to these thoughtful posters who want you to spend the money on something besides a motor to operate my convertible top. The C-5 manual top works so well that you need to be commended for it, and I can do it faster than any powered top.
Buy a Boxster and have its problems if you want a powered top.
First, I love my convertible. To repeat again, I simply did not know that advantages of having a manual top. Second I found SoCal's sarcastic comment to my post not necessary.
