When I wash my 08 C6 coupe, completely dry it, then lower windows, when I raise the windows they are covered with water on the outside surface. Is this normal? I have never had the door panel off or any work done on the doors.
the felt seal on the outside get wet when you wash it.. its soaked after you clean your car. you could stop this by not lowering your windows for a bit to let the seal dry?

The easiest way to avoid getting the windows wet, is to lower them all the way, then wash the car.
I use my compressor to really blow out the water. With my vert, I even blow out the water that catches around the top of the side windows (and the side marker lights, and the tail-lights, and the mirrors, and the emblems, and the list goes on!) Thank goodness these things aren't made out of metal. Water collects in all kinds of interesting body panels! At least enough to ruin a good detailing job if you aren't observant.
Even with that, if I intend to drive the car in the next few hours, some streaking still occurs. MF towels in the trunk, with your favorite glass cleaner clears that up.
