Check engine light on???

Check engine light on???
My check engine light came on andI don't know why. Is there a way to pull up the codes in the DIC like on a C5? I know there are numerous things that could cause the light to come on. I looked under the hood and the engine is still there. Please help.

But seriously, no, the DIC will not display codes, you can buy a scanner for about $100, or go to a store like AutoZone and they will plug in theirs and print out a report for free.
If you buy a scanner, make sure it says it is "CAN enabled."

I do believe that if you go to Autozone or Checkers that they will do a reading for you, I am not sure if they will clear the code for you. I would purchase a diagnostic tool which will also clear the code.

Did you recently get gas? If so, remove the cap, put it back on and turn it till it starts clicking. Make sure it clicks at least 3 times. Drive the car for a little while and the light should go away.
