Default DIC Message - Soft Boot 7.5

I have an 05 C6 that was just professionally detailed Friday 6/19. Today at startup, it went through a different dash sequence where everything lit up, even high / low beam indicator.

Anyone see this one in their past?

Thanks,

Bob

Yep....car is running fine, no issues at all. It's just very strange to watch the dash go through all the lights like that.

just a wild guess , but something tells me the detailer got into the electronics somehow. I don't know how, maybe under the hood with some water, or in the dash, or carpet spray, etc. Have you tried disconnecting the batt. cable for awhile and then reconnecting?

I haven't tried anything yet. I thought I'd leave it set until tomorrow morning and fire it up.

My guess is your battery has gotten low because the detailer left doors open, etc, during the clean up.

I have a 2005 DSOM C6 and experienced the same thing in late April. It was the original battery and that is one of the symptoms....just a warning before you are stranded somewhere...if you still have the original battry.

Low battery makes things go nuts in these cars...almost any part of the electrical system can go crazy because of it.
