Is this button for XM traffic? I called XM today and I told them I wanted the "XM traffic" package. (the one where if there is an accident it would re-route you to a quicker route).. Is the TRAF button what you are suppose to be using? I don't have a Navi system just the stock CD console.... 08 C6 LT1
the mrs 2004 impala has the same button and if there is no brodcast in your area you will get nothing. i have tried it up and down the east coast from pittsburgh to daytona and have found nothing
2008 owner's manual, page 3-87. (Not very clear whether it's just for XM or both XM & RDS radio).
TRAF (Traffic): If TA (traffic) displays, the tuned
station broadcasts traffic announcements. When a
traffic announcement is broadcast on this station,
you will hear it.
If the station does not broadcast traffic announcements,
press the TRAF button and the radio seeks to a station
that does. When a station that broadcasts traffic
announcements is found, the radio stops seeking
and TA displays. If no station is found that broadcasts
traffic announcements, NO TRAFFIC INFO displays.
If TA is on the display, press the TRAF button to turn off
the traffic announcements.
The radio plays the traffic announcement even if the
volume is low. The radio interrupts the play of a CD if the
last tuned station broadcasts traffic announcements.
This function does not apply to XM™ Satellite Radio
Service.
