I was on my way to pick up a new cabin air filter for my 08 coupe today when out of the blue an oncomming car saw the road he wanted to turn on but not me. He never signaled or slowed down just made an abrupt left turn in front of me. I layed on the brakes and the antilock system engaged and kept me straint and in control. Just missed the guy thanks to this great car that GM has built for us.
On a second note I almost took the motorcycle instead. It would not have made the stop and I would not be telling you this story.

Close call. Had a few of those myself. Some woman driving her massive SUV decided to start changing lanes without signaling AT ALL, only problem was, that particular lane was already being occupied by me in my 2008,, i laid on my brakes ( and my horn too ! ) and barely missed a collision. She violently sverved back into her lane and almost lost control. Close call, but luckily nothing happened.

Did you really need to replace cabin airfilter already? Just curious because I also have a '08. How dirty was the original ?

Good to hear that you were able to avoid the accident. Unfortunately there are a lot of bad drivers on the road, so stay alert when driving.
