Ok so i dont know if its my clutch or my shocks or what. Sorry I just got my first corvette. I have a stock 2006 C6 Corvette (non Z06). The issue is when Im turning to the left i hear a noise coming from the front like if im rubbing tires. It also sound like if its coming from the tranny. It used to make a noise when i was backing up but that only happend in the morning. If anyone can please help me.

If the car is still under the warranty, bring it to a chevy dealer and have them evaluate it. I had some similiar issues on my 2007 that they fixed under warranty.
Are you running stock size wheels and tires ? Possibly a loose splash shield. Take a closer look at your inner wheel wells, using a flash light, try to find any spots where the tire might be rubbing when turned to the left.
I think it's a tranny issue becasue it happens when I'm at low rpms.
have your dealer check it out - there is a fluid change that is covered under a bulletin that they may apply to your differential noise. assume the noise only happens when the car is cold and when you are turning. if not, may be something else entirely.
are you pretty sure the noise is coming from the front of the car, not the rear differential ? there is a known diff noise issue that dealers have been fixing with a fluid change. The issue is characterized by the differential producing noise when making a close turn, or like when going around a cul-de-sac.
When i back up i hear it in the rear, but when turning left or right im actually earing the noise as well. i really cant decribe the noise. ill see if i can add a sound clip. thanks for all the replies guys.
This is likely the limited slip differential, for which there has been a new fluid since 2008. My 2007 had the same symptoms. Before the new fluid, I had an additional tube of additive added which helped some. Later the new fluid was used as a replacement and it is A-ok ever since. In 2008 it was covered by warranty. However others have said it no longer is. I guess the logic is that the new fluid went into 2008 and later cars and if you have not complained until now, its too late. Maybe another cost cutting measure by GM. However you should definitely have the fluid changed out.
I had the same noise on my 08 C6. It took the dealer two times before they agreed to change the differential fluid. Whloa!! No more noise backing up or turning slowly in parking lots!!!!
...The issue is when Im turning to the left i hear a noise coming from the front like if im rubbing tires. It also sound like if its coming from the tranny...
I agree that it might be the differential.
But since you say it comes from the front, there's another likely possibility:
From a stop to a very low-speed turn (like backing out of a tight parking space), the front tires make a "scrubbing/sliding" sound. The sound occurs when you turn the wheel. I think it results from the inside of the front tires trying to move a different distance than the outside of the tire.
All tires do this. But the sound is exaggerated in the C6 because of the wide tires.
This sound is normal. There is nothing to fix.
Still, it was very surprising & unnerving the first time I heard it when backing out of my driveway (the C6 is also my first Corvette).
BTW, congrats on your new C6. And welcome to the Forum!
The differential fluid needs to be replaced and the noise will be gone. It was covered under warranty, not sure if they still cover it. Might as well do the trans fluid too. If not taken care of the clutch packs will go bad and the differential will have to be taken apart...
