What classification would you place the Corvette into? What fits it best? Is it a Sports Car, Premium Sports Car, Luxury Sports Car, or what??
(This oughta be good!)

How about Grand Touring. To me its too big for a sports car, but really fits the GT category. It's qualities really shine on the open road. It has ample room for two plus gear, all the creature comforts one would require, and the fuel mileage in OD on the highway is amazing.

To me a Corvette is THE statement of an American performance machine! No matter the Gen or the politics governing restrictions on performance,,,,you don't get more American than a two seat, hold on to your a$$, Chevy!
I'd say sports car. Fortunately, no one has said "muscle car". It isn't that. In a former life I had a 70 Chevelle SS (no 454 but it did have the 396 aka 402) - THAT was a muscle car. Corvette handles way too well to be a muscle car.
Wikipedia has a different definition for "Corvette"
I google searched the phrase "America's Sports Car" in quotes... 14,800 results came up mostly pointing to Chevrolet Corvette.

So if it handles well it isn't a muscle car?
How 'bout "Sports Muscle Car" or "Muscley Sporty Car"?
How 'bout "Sports Muscle Car" or "Muscley Sporty Car"?
Honestly, yes - just about every car that I'd consider a muscle car has good to reasonable straightline performance but sucks in extreme handling situations. Likewise, every high performance car in handling situations doesn't even begin to match what I'd call a muscle car. Examples - Recent GTO = muscle car. Mustang = muscle car (sorry, but it is). Ferrari = sports car. And so it goes........
OK, what is a resident n***? Is that like Resident Evil?
VC where have you been? Vacation? What a life you have.
It was just a goofy comment some member made a while back and I thought it was nuts. The guy has a few groupies that are really crazy so it is better left unsaid.
