Default DS vettes shift boot issue

installed last night, but this new boot is WAY taller, it has maybe 2-3" more material than the oem boot. It is too much, and bunches up making it difficult to shift. Anyone els with this issue? i hace tried different ways of "folidng" it over itslef to not much avail. also the materail is so thick (nice) itr is extra stiff.
6mt boot.

I installed one on my 09. It doesn't seem much taller than the stock boot.

Are you sure you folded and attached enough of the bottom of the boot to the oval plastic base?

I agree with the above post. CALL Geraldo and make sure they know you are a customer. They will do whatever it takes to make it right.

It's more likely that you may not have installed the boot all the way down on the plastic retainer? I have found that sometimes you need to notch the leather a little more to get the boot all the way on the plastic form

yeah i was thinking if i could notch it i could pull it down more. as it is, it is as low as i can get it on the trim ring. Limited by the notches where the retainer clips are. It is a quality piece, but too much leather! I will drop gerardo a line. I folded it /tucked it again, it is not impeding my shifts much now, but it looks like an accordion!!!!! I think i will pull out the trim ring, notch the leather ( hate to do that it is so nice) and pull it down about 2".
BTW, The padded center console i got from them is perfect

Mine was hit with a double dose of Zaino by the prior owner, a great, great Texas Corvette owner if ever there was one! So I guess it just smells good all the time.

I had the colors mismatched on mine with red on the front of the boot and red on the back of the ****, and after contacting Gerardo it was all straightend out with fast , very courtious service. soon as I have money again I will be doing buisness with DSVs again and again, wonderful work
