Default Competitive Driving Mode

When I put the car in competitive mode the DIC displays Competitive Driving Mode. While in competitive mode if I press the fuel button or gage button to see gas milage or coolant temperature etc., displayed on the DIC. If I cycle through the displays to when the DIC is blank, the competitive driving mode does not come back on. The question I am asking is that by pressing the DIC buttons am I taking the car out of Competitive driving mode ? I have not been able to find that out in the manual.

Thanks in advance

I have an 07 with manual.

not sure I understand your question fully - are you talking about the DIC/HUD display modes when you say "competitive"? If so, the HUD should not change even though you cycle through the other DIC information. if you are talking about the traction control message you get when you turn it off/on, even though you change the DIC by looking at other information, the TC is still in the mode you left it but the message will not reappear on the DIC. when you push the TC again, you will get the corresponding DIC message as to its status. when TC is off, you should also see a warning symbol on the speedo unit. that help?

Not referring to the HUD just the message in the DIC. So if I cycle through the DIC I will still be in Competitve Driving Mode even though I no longer get the message on the DIC.

Thanks

you should see a TC off symbol in the speedo if TC not engaged. looks like a car skidding (its a C5 I think!)
