Just spent 2 1/2 hours doing the install. Like everyone else the xm wire was a PIA! Slapped everything back together and ipod worked great, seats heat and lighter works. Pulled out of the garage and now have a red slash through my gps button on the nav screen. Nav screen shows that I'm moving but direction of movement and the North indicator are all out of sync. I thought I put all wires back into the nav unit but could I have missed one? Any help would be much appreciated. I just know I'm going to have to take the console off again.
I just discovered the same issue after my PAL install. I thing that you reconnected everything OK. After some experimation, I found the fix to be to simply select menu, setup, and calibrate. After I did that, the Nav worked just fine. Hope this helps

Did you have the red slash through the gps button on the left side of the screen?
If I remember correctlly there were just 4 connections on the back, antenna, then smaller black connector, the big main connector, and the white power connection.
The XM wire was the most difficult of the entire install due to the location. My aging body cannot take much of the twisting and contorting that I had to put it through. I finally just cut the wire, taped up the connector extremely well and spliced the XM wire to the PAL wire. It worked just fine.
I know what you mean. I found some new muscles in my lower back I didn't know were there. I did the same thing with the wire as you did. I would have thought that there would have been a more accessible place to hook on too.
