Default Used C6's?

I'm thinking about buying a used C6. I have a 2SS Camaro on order right now, but i'm not happy with how things are going. Damn thing is taking for ever to get through the line, and there is no end in sight due to tranny recall coming down.

Anyways,
How is the radio/bluetooth hook connection in the C6? One of the things i liked about the Camaro is that it has a bluetooth PDIM which allows you to control phones/mp3 players through the steering wheel. Does the vette also have this feature?

Any major issues to look out for?

I have about 44k to play around with. What year/model would be in my ball park? I'd like to get a 6 SPD Coupe, 3LT.

Go for a 2008 or newer. Youll get the bigger, more powerful LS3 and other updated goodies. If possible, try to get a Z51, or F55 car. 3LT shouldnt be a problem for a car with under 15,000 miles, considering your budget.

Heard about that issue with the new camaro a few days ago, Something about brand new cars breaking tailshafts or something. Apparently during hard launches.

LS3 power + weak drivetrain part = disaster.

For that amount you should easily be able to get at least a nice low mileage 2008.

I did a quick check on autotrader and even found a few 08 convertibles in that range so a coupe won't be a problem.

Haven't had a chance to drive/ride in a C6. I have a C4 now, I'm guessing there is very little interior noise/rattle/shakes?

They are solid cars no?

They are pretty solid cars, however, theres a common issue related to the removable targa top which tends to make a little noise in some cars. It is easily repaired at any GM dealer under warranty. ( all they do is replace the handles, lubricate certain attachment points) My 08 developed the targa top noise, dealer fixed in one day, been noise free since then.

I went from a C4 to C5 and then a new '08 coupe. I really enjoyed my C4 and C5s but the C6 is far more solid feeling and the power difference is really noticable.

The C6 is rattle-free except for maybe the roof creaking that another poster mentioned.

Good luck.

The C6 has radio controls on the steering wheel right?

Do 08's have Bluetooth?

I believe the 08's DO have Bluetooth.

08 is a good choice due to the LS3 and a few other improvements.

Unless you plan on doing engine modifications, then just get an 07 and save $10k on the car.

The top targa tends to squeak on some vehicles. Mine never has, but it's usually off.

Z51 package is a cheap upgrade you should consider.

My car has NEVER been to the dealer. I've had work done, but nothing under warranty.

One more thing to consider on the Camaro, two years from now, you'll see them everywhere as ALL the rental car companies are going to purchase them. They will truly be a "dime a dozen".

No back seat in the Vette though. That's the only thing I miss.

Just my two cents.

Default One more thing

You should be able to get into a very nice 08 for around $40k and have money left over for mods.

If you want the bluetooth in a C6 you need to get an '09 or '10.

Here's a 2009 under $40k with only 800 miles on it.

Yea I have to convince the wife first too.

How big are the Z51 brakes?

I just don't want to make a mistake, and want the camaro later.

Are they still doing Vette leases?
