Octane booster. Worth it?

Tracking the car (1/4 mile) this weekend for fun. Thought that octane booster might help prevent knock sensor/timing retard from kicking in early due to heating up in the staging lanes.

Anyone have experience with these so-called boosters?

Keep the tank low. Weight kills. 1/4 tank of premium with a splash of octane boost. Pop hood in the lanes to keep underhood temps down.

Unless you have forced induction or higher compression than stock you'll just be throwing your money away.

You have a 427 stroker with higher than stock compression(Im guessing). Thats a whole different kind of animal.

Yes, it is, I have a drag tune and a street tune, but there is a few bone stock Vette's that have been reporting Kr, due to tune, the octane booster will help get them past it. sometimes bad fuel.
there is a few reasons why you would use it, temps, too much timing,
improper tune.
