I would go "Vandal Hunting" Sorta like deer hunting but instead of climbing up a tree in a blind I would park my Vette in a parking lot, walk far enough away but close enough to watch and HUNT. Wonder what PETA would say about that?

Same thing happened in my Trans Am when I first got it. Went to the State Fair and some jackass in a red Monte Carlo parked right next to me and opened his door and watched as it slammed into the passenger side door of my car. As he tried to be nonchalant about it and walked off, I yelled, "Nice red paint!" and opened up my door which was already DENTED and threw it into his car.

X2, you paid good money for a sexy vehicle.. When other people key this said beautiful vehicle out of sure disrespect and jealousy, you are going to be pissed; especially when you did NOTHING to them. Now maybe if he cheated on his gf of so and so years, then maybe I'd tell him to keep on the down low lol
What would it take to put in a wide angle camara-- like a cell phone. something that was motion activated?
You might be able to rig a claymore that way . . . Noisy, but effective.

Your local body shop can do magic with it.
My father had a golf ball indentation in his Acura. Chuck at Center Square Motors (Center Square, PA) did an incredible job on it. You'd be suprised.....it might not cost much to fix the right way.

Sorry to hear of your damage but it would have been really, really stupid on your part to assume the guy in the car next to you was responsible for the damage. Reminds me of scene out of "The Big Lebowski."

nothing makes me anymore like getting a freakn gun when i hear of such crap. arlington is made up of many 'hoods'. be careful even though all the new stadiums are there. may i ask which restaurant it was so that i can/could stay far from that @#$$%^^& place? if you run your fingernail over the scratch, and your nail catches or stops on the scratch then it is probably too deep to buff out. it never hurts to try though. freakn texas, i mean mexas.

It probably was not the SUV people that do things like that do not stick around to get shot. I used to park my car in the boonies no longer safer near the door.I was looking at this link and am thinking of buying this dash cam With all that I have spent the $90 for this is making sense.

My C6 was keyed in Pensacola. Not much you can do but file an insurance claim, repair the damage and move on. If the scratches are as deep as they were on my car they're not going to buff out, you will need to get your quarter panel and door repainted.

Its not necessarily just a nice car envy thing. I have a boring '99 Buick Century that I drive in winter and rainy days. One night it got keyed sitting in front of my house. Why?

I would like to carry around a big bottle jack and just place in under the side of anyone that parks close and flip them on their side. Gets the point across. I find that an appropriate solution but I believe it is frowned on by local authorities.

This is a rant...please excuse. Drove to Arlington Tuesday, ate at a restaurant. Parked in the very back of the parking lot, no other vehicles even close. Came out, SUV parked within 6 inches of my car. Looked at side of car and found key marks across passenger side door and rear quarter. I think I turned 4 shades of red, but I did NOT touch the other vehicle, even though I wanted to, and should bave busted all the windows out it. Plenty of parking too. Wasn't like there were limited spaces. And an upscale restaurant too. We'll see later if the marks buff out or not. What does one do? Thanks.
