some people are confused, this is how my car sits as of right now...with the new stripes
**/edit**
I hinted in a previous thread of mine that I was going to do a mod that I would need a flame suit on for...well...I just got these stripes added the other night.
P.S. My next mod is hinted in the pics...first person to get what it is will get a wrapped fortune cookie I found under my seat!
How did I did I miss that. The date is so clear and then I should have turned that into a new ratio.
so your building a car just for the drag strip? i guess bye bye to 200mph
From everyone I have talked to, the stock gearing is good for top speed only in 5th gear...theres no more power to go anymore in 6th. Increasing the gear ratio to 4:10 allows top speed to be achieved in 6th. I have spoken to a couple of the more noted vendors here that have said they still get to 200mph

If thats true than that is cool. But i assume gas mileage will go down the tube and stress on the engine should increase.

People usually see a 1-3mpg drop...not bad. Engine stress wise not really...no more power is generated, rpms just rise quicker and cruising rpms just rise a bit.
