Supplier price is normally within a couple of hundred of invoice. Employee price is normally a couple of thousand south of supplier.
When I was looking at an 08 Z06 in Oct 07 the MSRP was $77,790. Invoice was $70,386.98 ( this can vary from dealer to dealer as it also includes some advertising fees, etc), Supplier was $70,121.51 and employee was $67,108.38.
Even in these tough times I doubt you will find a dealer to sell you a new Corvette at invoice, so if you can use the Supplier Program, I would do it. I bought my 08 coupe using the GM Supplier Program. Sticker was right at $59,900 and I paid right at $52,000. Options were Z51, 3LT, two tone interior, NPP exhaust, chrome wheels, Crystal Red paint. A few hundred over invoice, but I thought I got a great deal.
Also check first with a few of the forum dealers here on Corvette Forum. You might be surprised on how good of a price they will give you.
Thanks for the helpful replys...My dealer told me he would honor the Supplier program on my GS, but we didn't get down to specifices on how much of a saving it would be in relation to the invoice north or south....Thanks Abunch
Outside the forum you are proably going to be looking at around 5% over invoice. Most forum vendors are around supplier pricing, a few below. Even with my local dealer I thought I was getting a good deal at supplier, but I talked to Tim at Boardwalk and he beat that price by more than a few hundred $$ and 6-8 weeks quicker delivery.
I'm not sure where this price falls according to invoice but I bought my 08 Z in April for $65.5K... the sticker was $83.2K. It was new with 18 miles on it and I got 0% financing,
