OK. I've been holding off on making a deal on an 09 vert because I wanted 4LT and figured at this point I'd just wait and order a 2010. But I'm getting impatient so now I'm wondering: Do I get a 3LT and go with aftermarket leather mods? Is there an aftermarket dash wrap? And does Chevy add anything else besides the leather wrap to the 4LT?
The aftermarket can do anything, given enough money. A full aftermarket leather interior, including dash, is serious coin. And if you're impatient, what are you going to do while the car is down getting the interior, which takes a significant amount of time?
Further, the aftermarket interiors I've seen, including by DSV and Caravaggio, have an aftermarket look to them. Some like it better than stock, but they don't look "stock", they look custom. Whether that's a positive or negative is up to you. Me, I don't much care for it.
You're going to be living with it for some time. Get what you want. Don't "settle" out of impatience. If you put an order in now, what's the lead time?

Generally, I agree with this post, altho I actually like both DSV and Caravaggio interiors. However, the point is correct: it IS aftermarket, and you will have to wait and/or do it yourself.
Do you know a realistic wait time on an ordered '10? If this is a 2-3 year car and you trade it, maybe you don't care. If you're going to hold it for awhile, get it the way you want it. The plant I think is closed for 3 weeks in August.
Order a 2010 and get the exact Vette you want, that is what we did on our 09 and could not be happier
Great advise! These cars cost allot of money and in the end it is your money. Yes! get exactly what you want. I have known numerous people that have purchashed new or used Corvettes that later say " I wish it had this or that or instead of this color I which it was that color". Take your time and find exactly what you want or just order what you want. It will be worth the wait.
If you have your heart set on the 4LT interior, your best bet is to order a 2010 or find a 2009 that meets your specs in dealer stock. (Here's a link to Jeff Hardy's web site that will help you check dealer stock: http://www.jeffhardy.com/lookupvette.php
It's not that DS Vettes can't provide you with the leather dash and door panels - they can. They'll be expensive, though, and you'll have to remove the dash to install the leather, something that not many people want to do to a brand new Corvette.
