That's all that were ordered. GM built what the customers ordered.
I guess I was asking if there ever was an official reason why they didn't allow white Z06 production from 2002 to 2006 and only 300 or so 2007. Then no white again in 2008 to present.
Correct, it's not a popular color. Even though i happen to love white.
I remember when the wife was looking for an EVO X in white it was very hard to find. Mitsubishi didn't think it would be a very popular color either but those things sold within days on the lot. Vettes are one of the best looking cars in white that I have seen. I think having some black trim like they do helps to set off the look.
White has in the past been the dog that GM stuck the dealers with to sell. Back in the day, white ZR-1's were nearly always the cheapest ZR on the lot and the ones that the dealers were more than willing to roll up their cuffs on and make a deal just to get rid of them...!!
I am glad they have made it available......I would have liked to have had that option when I bought our 2008....but now that I have the convertible, its such a super car I have a hard time getting serious about a trade of the '08 for the Z.
