Default Rubber Size for 20" setup

Hey guys/gals - For anyone running 20" wheels up front - what size rubber are you using? I have the ZR1 front and rear end (fenders) so the larger tire size will be fine - thanks!

Go to http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Find the original C6 diameters then look for 20" tires in the same diameters. You have to maintain the same % difference between front and back and keep close to the same rear diameter to keep the speedometer accurate.

Play with width and aspect ratios, there aren't a lot of choices in 20" tires

I'm assuming 20" are for looks ONLY.... I can't see any performance benefit by going to such a large tire...

If 20" is good... would 22" be better ? Is there an "IDEAL" size.. I know for racing most prefer 16"-17" .. I use 18" because I don't want to change my breaks...

I never have seen any drag or road race car with 20" + wheels... I'm guessing they are just for the "Bling" factor ?

20" wheels on a vette are extremely ghetto. Look at these vettes from the hood...

I have to agree with the comments above. WHY 20 INCH? The 20" wheels are more expensive and heavier, tires are more expensive, heavier, limited availabilty, and expensive.

All 18" would make more sense, cheaper, lighter wheels, and a huge tire selection.

Because it is a street car and nice 20s look great on a c6. 20s don't have to be heavy either, yes I know 18s are better but 20s look far better.

285/25/20 in the front 345/25/20 in the rear. I wouldn't go larger than 295.

he didn't.. so thats why I'm assuming he just wants "Bling" I race & know 20" are useless for me..

Also anyone who does any Hi Performance driving would agree.. 20" are NOT performance wheels, the OP never mentioned anything about performance, so I'm guessing he is after "Looks" only !

I believe it is in the eye of the car owner what does and doesn't look good. We all have our own opinions and shoot that is half the fun with these cars, is that we can personalize them for out taste. Some like bigger wheels some like more performance, I MUST ALSO SAY THOSE 20's WILL LOOK NICE on your car! GOOD LUCK WITH THEM AND POST SOME PICS UP AFTER I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HOW THEY COME OUT!!!

Will do - With the ZR1 front fenders there is quite a bit of room to fill - The 19's up front just look to small

Dude give it a rest. Those 20s will still offer high performance just not highest performance. Plus many as stated have two sets of wheels. One for street and one for track.

I think your the one who needs a pill I honestly don't care if he puts wagon wheels on it... I do not like the looks of the 20" but its his car & if he likes em I say go for it!

... if you think 20" offer hi Po.. go get yourself some 22" and you'll really fly Just from reading some of your posts I can see you ARE AN EXPERT!! So I'll be condescending, and agree w/you....yea your right 20" are the best.. I'll "Give it a Rest" Any other suggestions..

I'm racing this weekend.. maybe you could give me some "Tips" on how to race better.. I'd sure appreciate that...
