does anyone have one of those off the side bumper 'flip-up' front license plate holder? if so, does it work? does it still show underneath the bumper when you stand back? did you drill or stick it to the underneath bumper?
i live in texas as to where it can be hellhole heat in the summer....thanks anyone/everyone.
I have the remote control one... I drilled 3 small holes... it is UNDER the car, nobody would see it, if I took it off... you could always plug them... Tape is just not ALL that safe, at high speed... I like to show people, and we all laugh, when it comes out of nowhere and pops up... and goes back the same way... More fun than anything else...

I've been wanting to buy one just in case a LEO stops me, but haven't done it yet. Same goes for the laser jammer that I still haven't bought either. Need both.
I bought a manual one off e-bay which was reccommended by one of the members. It works great three holes underneath and I only place it up when I go out of town. I had been stopped two times but no ticket. It was only a matter of time. I think the cost was 50 bucks.

its fun at shows, you can see the bracket a little but so what - its better than looking at a plate glommed on there, and if you get pulled over it goes up in a couple of secs with the fob.
I have the manual version and I think it is great. When it is displayed it looks very classy (mounted on the passenger side of the front clip) and when it is stowed it is virtually undetectible unless you know what you are looking for.
I've had mine on for a couple of months now, no problems.
Picked up local at Corvettes of Dallas, I'm sure there sister store in Houston has them also.
