How long before you started modding?
When I talk about mods on my car and what I want to do RIGHT NOW, my friends give me crap. Their argument is it's a new car, drive it and enjoy it. I still have a warranty, what if something breaks, etc. I can see where they are coming from, but from my past vehicles, I would enjoy it MORE with MORE power LOL. And I am not worried about warranty, since I have confidence in a cam bolt-on setup's reliability. The only warranty I worry about is interior warranty, anything that has to do with a powertrain I would rather upgrade if it breaks.
I used to drive a 800whp Cobra that I went through every single stage with that car. It made 350 stock to 450 with bolt ons, then 530 on nitrous, to 630 on a old KB, then 710 on a stroker/H/C, then finally 800. I know I cannot compare to it but I was happy with the car around the 600whp range. When I hit that thing when it was making 600+, it would haul and put a big smile on my face. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the C6. You cannot compare it to the Mustang because it beats it in every category. Ergonomics, handling, the general road feel is much improved in the Corvette. But when I hit that gas I feel... disappointed knowing that it has so much more potential at such little cost.
So my question is, how long before you guys started modding your car after initial purchase, and what mods did you do? I'm curious to hear from the guys that bought new cars, or purchased a stock used car and from mild to wild mods. Let's hear it.

Too many guys want to wax their car all day,,,,,,me i want to drive it all day. To each their own.
Question?? What muscle should be the strongest for a vette owner?? their right foot muscle. Not there hands from waxing or there *** from leaning.
I had a catch can, pipedreams flaps, and a cags defeat connector when I picked up the car from the dealer. Part of the deal was I got to detail the car in one of the dealers bays. Mudflaps and a coat of Rejex went on before it left the dealership. Catch can installed and cags defeated before 10 miles on the car..
160stat, headers and tune and MGW shifter before 1800 miles, CAI, ported TB, and ported intake before 4000 miles..

About a month out from buying the car I will probably go ahead and order $3k in parts.

C6 how much better it feels and sounds than any of my previously modded cars. Somehow I get the feeling the factory knows better than I do.

Bout the same for me.
