Default Corvette Bose/Nav system

Just bought used 2007 C6 with 6k. Having trouble with Nav. Shows me correct route but when I start to drive, my car isn't on correct street?? It's as if GPS isn't on. Should the GPS have a red slash on it or not? Need help

Also have premium bose audio system with 6 CD changer and have the 1-6 button on steering wheel but won't load a second cd? Directions talk about pushing a "load" button next to eject button on Nav screen that looks like a stack of cd's but I don't have one. Could it be that it's only a single cd player?? Why the 1-6 button on the steering wheel then??

If your NAV screen shows a red slash through the gps, your system is not seeing the gps satellites for some reason...could be an antenna problem or your in the middle of downtown with tall buildings or the mountains or something. Try driving to a wide open area and give the NAV a couple of minutes to find the satellites. If that doesn't work, then it's probably off to the dealer.

About that 1-6 button...it's virturally worthless with the NAV system. When the NAV was installed, the 6-disk player was taken out, so you're limited to one CD at a time with the NAV. If you burn a CD with mp3 format you can get about 125 songs on a single CD so the loss of the 6-disck player isn't all that tragic.

FYI when using the radio the 1-6 functions as a favorites button. In this day and age just get the Corvette PAL and an iPod and u can have 30,000 songs

Should not have the slash, which means it is not getting a signal. You may want to calibrate it depending on where the car came from. Check the navigation set-up.

Great advice thus far..or as in my case, just hook it up (possibility that there was an after market system in there). You'll know as you should get a clock function if it's hooked up properly.

There is also a calibration function (once you get satellite reception) where you can go to a known place and then tell the NAV system where you are....its in the manual....(NAV manual)
