Stuck in Neutral

Help, I'm stuck 90 miles from home, and the vette will not shift into park. the car won't start, any suggestions. It ran great, then I parked it, went to move, got it into D, now can't get it into any other gear...... the accessories have been on and now it killed the battery.... yes it is an automatic......my wifes vette....... darn

Turn the steering wheel and giggle the shifter. Then try to start and shift.

Read the manual.There's a section on this.Sounds like the shift lock over ride is shot.There's a switch or something behind the brake pedal that's supposed to release the shifter.

same thing happened to my 2007 coupe. disconnected the battery cuz i couldnt figure it out. towed to dealer. theres a safety switch under the shifter that prevents car starting in gear.they pulled the console, etc out to get to it.fixed under warrenty in less than a hour. hope this works for you
