Default Replacement seat covers

Hi,

I am new to this forum and I appreciate all the info you guys share.

I just got a 2006 C6 Velocity Yellow with grey interior. Some vendor was selling OEM takeoff two tone grey/black Z06 seat covers from what I would assume was a write-off car.

Would anyone have any idea of how I could take off the existing seat covers. I think this may involve taking out the seats and I have no idea of how to do that. Any thoughts?

As well, the seat sides are ripped, I would assume from the air bags deploying, what is the best method to repair this.

I appreciate all the feedback, and I will post some pics of my beast soon.

I hope you got a GOOD deal on the car if your side air bags deployed!

BTW, do a search on seat covers. Their is a write-up somewhere detailing the removal of the covers.

When you get new covers be sure that you find someone able to properly sew the sides for the airbags, if you have replacement airbags.

The seats he wants to buy, were the ones with the deployed airbags.

Hi guys,

My car is fine. I bought some seat covers from a Z06 that had deployed side air bags. What I am looking for is advice on how to install them into my car. How to take out my current seat covers and install these ones. I realize I need to have the replacement ones sewn, but by whom?

Find an upholsterer that deals with car dealers! They can probably restitch the blown-out parts properly and recover your seats with them for not too much money.

If I was attempting your project, I'd remove the seats and take them to a professional car upholsterer to replace the seat covers. Once the covers are off, you'll see that your seats might need other work (like bolster foam repair) that the upholsterer should also be equipped to fix.

That's me. You might have the talent for this kind of job, so...
