Default C6 Vert windscreen ?

i have a 06 vert and was wondering if addind a windscreen really helps or if it is just for looks. also, if it help what are the noticeable differences you get? then, once last question, if you get one are they easy to take up and down and can you keep on to put roof up or must you remove before roof being put up. thx. any name brand suggestions?

I've never seen one that worked right...had easy attach/detach...allowed for top up etc.

If I have the top down and am traveling at speed then I just put up the windows and that helps but It is a VERT... you are SUPPOSED to have wind noise with the top down so I don't give it much thought.

On my 350Z there is a built in plexi wind screen attached between the two humps behind the headrests.. It still has a similar level of wind noise to the Vette.. maybe a LITTLE less.

It would be nice if Chevrolet looked at the 350Z and did a similar thing.. the after market screens are a pain in the $%)*

i really like mine, but you do have to remove it to raise the top. i have the gm one. it can be removed while sitting in the driver's seat and put down in the pass. side if no one is with you. in case it starts to rain.

My wife really loves ours. My lack of hair means I really don't care. It cuts out about half the turbulence. You will hear complaints that you have to remove it to put up the top, but big deal, that takes about 15 seconds. It does help you with hearing the radio at highway speeds and hearing your wife talk. I think it's worth it. Anything to keep the wife happy. I agree with doing a search. You will find about 100 threads on this already.

I also have the GM one....It makes a little difference with the windows down, but makes a dramatic difference with the windows up...It helps with the wife when your going somewhere decent and you want to keep the top down...But then, we are the bosses of our cars, they should go with the flow, right??
It easily removes and must be removed when putting up the top...It actually has a sensor to stop the top from going up when it is installed...And it looks cool too...
Ebay has some but get a good one, I think there are some cheap imitators...

I fabricated my own. I had one on my C5 and now on my C6. It folds down behind the seats and lowers on torque hinges. It attaches to rollbars, but before I had the rollbars, I made one that attached to the seats.
Men don't really think to much about them but if your a women or one rides with you, get a windscreen. I would never own a vert without mine. I have really long hair and can drive with the top down and not worry about what my hair is going to look like when I get to where I'm going. The stereo sound is also improved a huge amount and conversations can be heard effortlessly. Even better results with the windows up. It is the single best mod I have ever done. First picture is the folddown and the second attahceds to the seats. No worry about storing it. I LOVE IT !!!!!!
As far as cheaper ones on the market that aren't GM, etc...Other than the vette net, which is a netting, all of them are made from polycarbonate, Lexan, which is bullet proof.
