Is anyone using or familiar with StopTech one pice drilled OEM replacement. The one's I am talking about are a direct replacement for C6Z06. I need rotors and am not ready for $1400+ 2 piece rotors for the driving I do.
I am looking at $149X2 front & $115X2 rear. Will these be good for daily use and 2 DE's per year matched up with Carbotech XP8's, or should I run away from this rotor and by GM.
You might have better luck posting this in the Tech/Performance Forum.
From my observations of Forum posts on this topic, the best replacement/upgraded rotors are slotted and not drilled. They have less chance of cracking and longer life without warping. And being plated, they won't throw rusty water on your clean wheels after a wash.
I think you will find good and bad stories with anything you are looking a purchasing. If you are looking for alternatives, we can offer you the DBA 4000 Series Slotted rotor for a little under $600 shipped, for the full set.
The Stoptech/Centric rotors are a high quality aftermarket replacement part and you should expect the same performance and service life as you had with the original ones. The DBA's would be a great alternative if you were looking to go slotted instead of drilled.
