From the Detroit News:
General Motors Co. lifted the curtain Tuesday to show off many of the 25 vehicles the automaker plans to launch in the next 28 months.
With most of its top executives on hand, the automaker unveiled cars and crossovers typically not shown to the media or the public so early in the development process. The vehicle lineup ranged from the redesigned Chevrolet Aveo to the Z06 Corvette.
"These are not concept vehicles," Ed Welburn, GM's top designer, said at the automaker's Tech Center. "These are vehicles that are well on their way."
From a GM employee blog about the event, another little Z06 tidbit:
"Two cars that will serve as halo cars for Chevrolet: one geared towards elite performance, the Corvette Z06, now in a convertible; second- the Volt with absolutely no one coming close in terms of fuel economy = 230 mpg."
But then a conflicting blog calling the convertible a GS. Do you think the press and employees don't know the difference between a GS and a Z06?

Would not be the first time the press was clueless.
and we were worried about people on the street confusing the gs with the z06...
If the media can't keep them straight, we may have to pool some money and pay for a PSA on network TV
"The more you know..."
Last night, Bob Lutz was on Fox News and was talking about all the range of cars...he said "all the way from the Chevy Volt to the" and then Greta Van Susteren interupted him and he never got to finish the thought...I figure he was going to say Corvette ZR1 or Z06...
Lutz is the best, too bad GM is going to lose him...
