The warning light on the DIC for Active Handling has been coming on quite often latley so I decided to take her in for a diagnostic check.
I have a feeling the module may be faulty.
Anybody here have this problem with their C6?????????
It is very unlikely that you have a module fault. If you did, I'd expect you to be seeing ABS error messages too. The most common cause of AH messages is a loose connection to the yaw sensor in the steering column due to tension on the wires when the telescoping column moves in and out. This is a 5 minute fix, just push the connectors back together and add a tie wrap to make sure they don't work loose again.

Thanks Shopdog, I did find a thread refering to this problem. It was from 2007. Apparently it was coming on during an autocross event. Makes sense now

Yes, I have a 3LT so every time I press the memory button it moves forward then back when I get out.
There's a clip you can buy from GM for like $10 that you insert into the wiring harness under the dash that will take care of this issue. Search on "SAHS", you'll find a thread I started with the full explanation, part numbers, etc. I did it a month or so ago and the problem went away.

Thanks, but shouldn't the dealer install the clip under warranty?

Yes, there is a new TSB on it, just point them in that direction to ensure they put the clip in and not the wiretie/electrical tape fix which is the old TSB.
Mine had the wiretie/tape which I had to remove in order to install the clip. Takes all of ten minutes.

Steve - Here's a more recent thread from May 2009. It's long, and it's scary. Take a read. Nothing to screw with. Nothing like having your Vette make a right hand turn on it's own at the top of the Tallahasee (sp?) bridge... Please see this link...

Mine says Traction Control Off on the DIC when it happens. Then when I press the button it turns back on but I cannot access the Comp Mode. The warning light stays on until I turn off the car.
Caused by poor terminal contact at SWPS per TSB document 2032653.
Cycle SWPS connector and install TPA clip on connector C202 and return vehicle to owner for evaluation.
It was a quick fix as some have already mentioned and was covered under warranty.
I will keep forum members posted if the SAH light should come on again in the future.
